Key responsibilities:
- Assist engineers with hydrologic studies and develop/QA hydraulic and sediment-transport models.
- Build and maintain water balance models in Excel, GoldSim, and WEAP.
- Produce figure-ready maps and drawings in QGIS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
- Document methods and help improve internal processes, templates, and calculation tools.
Requirements (must-haves):
- BS (or near completion) in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a strong interest in hydrology, hydraulics, and sediment transport.
- Strong technical writing skills—you can turn analysis into clear, client-ready memos.
- Software: QGIS; AutoCAD and Civil 3D; Microsoft Office at an intermediate level; basic HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS.
- Comfortable reading and writing in English (intermediate level).
- ~1 year of experience in surface-water work; internships, co-ops, and professional practice count.
