We are excited to announce that Michael Gabora has joined the FloSolutions team! Michael brings 20 years of hydrogeological and numerical modeling experience having worked on projects in more than fifteen countries. His expertise is wide-ranging but includes open pit and underground mine dewatering, pit slope depressurization, groundwater exploration and development, mine water management, fate and contaminant transport, mine water balances, baseline and environmental impact studies, and due diligence studies.
“I am excited to be joining such a technically strong team of senior hydrogeologists. I have known and worked with the Flo team through DHI’s close collaborations with Flo for four years and could not be happier about joining an agile, client-focused team that delivers technically outstanding solutions”.
Michael comes to FloSolutions from DHI Water & Environment, where he started a mine water and groundwater focused team in Denver and grew it to six professions with a reputation for innovative water management problem solving by combining practical, implementable solutions supported by robust numerical models.
Michael participates in the water resources and mining communities by regular attendance and contributions at global conferences, co-developing and co-teaching a course on mine water, waste and closure at the Colorado School of Mines and as a reviewer for the Journal of Mine Water and the Environment.
